Attention, applicants! The requirements for membership and the application process are changing.

What's Changing?

the Requirements

Applications submitted after January 1, 2025, are subject to two new requirements:

  • Applicants must have volunteered at two SOTC activities prior to applying
  • Of the five GM meetings that applicants must attend, at least two must be have been held in-person (not virtually)

the Process

In late 2024 we will begin transitioning from paper application forms to an on-line process. The transition will be completed in early 2025. Until then, some pieces of the process will move on-line while others will remain old-school.

What Does This Mean for Applicants?

  • If you submitted a paper application in September or October but have not yet been voted in, just carry on. Your application will be voted on at the next meeting you attend.
  • If you have not yet submitted an application but plan to do so in November or December 2024, click HERE to download an application form (a fillable PDF file).  Fill it out electronically, save it, and email to the Membership Chair. Ask the Membership Chair about payment options (pay by check now or wait for an invoice and pay on-line later).
  • If you have begun attending meetings and were planning to submit an application in January 2025 or beyond,  you may need to revise your timetable (to give yourself time to meet the volunteer requirements and to ensure that at least two of the GM meetings you attend are in-person ones).
