One 2-day Seminar and a 1-day Intensive Structure and Gait Analysis Seminar

Seminar 1: Coaching the Canine Athlete®

Saturday & Sunday, February 15th & 16th, 2020 9am-5pm

State-of-the-art information for participants to understand their dog’s physical structure, gait, nutrition and other topics on how the canine body works, so that they can improve their dogs’ performance and keep them healthy and injury-free.

Seminars are geared for those interested in a wide variety of performance events including agility, conformation, obedience, tracking, field, agility, lure coursing, and herding, etc. and many other aspects of canine performance. Seminars are highly interactive and provide ample opportunity for attendees and their dogs to participate in structure and gait analysis, to practice conditioning exercises with their dogs and to participate in jump training and exercises appropriate to targeted performance events. Chris alternates between lecture time and activities in which participants can work their dogs. She uses high quality visual aids including Power Point presentations and abundant slow motion videos.

Each day consists of two to three modules, with each module consisting of a lecture and discussion period followed by demonstrations and activities with participants’ dogs.

Full day 8 hours, max 30 working spots, unlimited auditors

Seminar 2: 1-DAY INTENSIVE PERSONALIZED STRUCTURE/GAIT ANALYSIS® CLINIC

Monday, February 17th, 2020 9am-5pm

(clinic is limited to 12 dogs and handlers who attend Feb 15 & 16)

Day 3: After the two-day Coaching the Canine Athlete® seminar. In this clinic, Chris gets up close and personal with up to 12 dogs and their handlers. She evaluates the in depth structure of each dog and discusses with the handlers the advantages and disadvantages of each dog’s build.

In addition, each dog’s gait is evaluated and handlers are shown how to maximize the movement of their individual dog to help maximize performance and reduce the risk of injuries in their chosen performance events.

Each dog and handler is provided with an individualized conditioning and fitness program, and handlers are shown how to monitor their dog for subtle signs of pain or dysfunction, long before any lameness would show up.
